I believe that everyone, in one way or another, is a leader. Many of us just aren’t sure how to lead others effectively, or how to use the influence we have to impact change. My desire to help people discover the leader that exists within themselves is a big part of the reason that this site exists.
In the coming weeks and months, this page will change and evolve into what I hope will become a resource hub for personal leadership development. As I post new content and resources, they will be archived here for future reference and review. Until that happens, though, I want to point you to a couple of resources RIGHT NOW that I believe will help get you started on your journey toward discovering the leader inside of you:
1:The Mark Knight Leadership Podcast: Call it shameless plug if you want to, but this is my brand new leadership podcast. I will post new episodes once a month, and each episode will be built around helping you live better and go further by developing the leader in you. Don’t miss it!
2. Andy Stanley Leadership Podcast: While all of Andy’s podcasts are excellent, that link goes directly to part one of a two-part podcast called “How to Lead When You’re Not In Charge,” where one of Andy’s staff members, Clay Scroggins, shares his views on personal leadership development.
3. The Heart of Leadership by Mark Miller: Mark Miller is a vice-president at Chick-Fil-A and has written a great book on personal leadership. This is from the back-jacket synopsis of the book “This book shows us that leadership needn’t be the purview of the few—it is within reach for millions around the world. The Heart of Leadership is a road map for every person who desires to make a difference in the lives of others and become a leader people want to follow.” I think that says it all!
